You're known for your heaving club sets. What’s your secret weapon?
I find that my audience is the most excited is Hard Hitting Drums! I can feel the energy radiate from the crowd when I complete a blend of music that’s familiar with something unexpected like percussion or live chop of a vocal.
You’re a multidisciplinary creative, releasing lots of great music. I’d love to ask, what drives and inspires you to keep creating and staying future-forward?
Creating is key to me feeling most like myself. I tend to take in a lot of information, constantly curious and inspired by what I listen to and see. My attempts to process or understand all this information is what drives me. I love to figure out how what I like is made and then expand on it!
Are you working on any music at the moment? Any new inspirations or sounds we can expect?
I’m always working on music. I hope to have an EP released by the end of this year. What I like is VERY eclectic and I have a mixed bag of influences. I’m drawing inspiration from styles such as Bass Music, Funk, GQOM, Jungle, Kuduro and Footwork to name a few. Even the Brainrot I scroll through infiltrates what I'm working on.
What can we expect from your Club 77 set? Any track ID's you'd like to share?
You can expect DRUMS and some unreleased tracks from myself peppered into the mix.
You can catch Shuko alongside Deepa at Club 77 this Friday 25th April at Club 77. Free entry via guest list before midnight, $15 on the door after.
