1. The best thing about living in New York?

The overwhelming amount of options for great food.

2. What do you love best about being an electronic music artist?

That I can create anywhere on the go totally in headphones.

3. The last book you read?

I just finished reading 'Dress Your Family in Corduroy & Denim' by David Sedaris and it was a great laugh! He’s a brilliant writer.

4. Best album of 2023?

Hands down the new Andre 3000.

5. Favourite film of the last six months?

A beautiful documentary by Sam Green called 32 Sounds. It’s a collection of beautiful sounds sampled by electronic musician JD Samson. It brought me to tears and it’s one of my favourites.

6. A track you haven’t been able to stop listening to lately?

A new track I’m producing for a band here in New York called Dancing In Tongues. More on that soon!

7. A favourite track or album to soundtrack a lazy Sunday afternoon?

Wind by Gigi Masin.

8. Favourite BRUX gig of 2023?

Supporting Mija in Brooklyn. It was such a great crowd, packed venue and I tested out dozens of new music I’ve been working on which garnered great responses. It was electric!

9. Name one of your all-time favourite rave tunes from the 90s.

I grew up on the classic Wild Mix compilation CDs (Vol. 4 was my fav!) I think my favourite from that time would have to be 'Da Lower You Go' by Striking Man. I love it because it takes me right back to 1997, sneaking into my brother's room while he’s out and blasting that CD on his stereo system, dancing around.

10. The last live gig you attended that blew you away?

I went to see an incredibly moving ambient live event upstate here in NY last winter in a beautiful old church. Yuka Honda, Booker Stardrum and Tyondai Braxton (from Battles) were among the performers. Oh and I saw Four Tet in the audience too!

11. If you could go back in time you would…?

Not change a thing! I’m trying the whole “living with no regrets” thing out and it’s working a treat.

12. The last time you had an uncontrollable laughing fit?

Watching an episode of the brilliant and hilarious TV series Fleabag.

13. A track that you never get tired of?

'Thursday Afternoon' by Brian Eno. 60 minutes of pure bliss.

14. What’s something awesome about living in the U.S. that surprised you?

That there are so many public holidays! I love it.

15. Who is someone that continues to inspire you and why?

Kimbra - it’s so wonderful working with her both as a friend (and fan!) and creative partner on music. Watching her process is...beyond words. She operates on another level for sure.

16. The last non-music podcast you were addicted to?

Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.

17. The TV show you’re obsessed with?

Raised by Wolves! Best sci-fi series I’ve seen in years.

18. What would you like to have accomplished in the next five years?

To release a full length dance album.

19. What makes you happiest?

My cheeky little dachshund, Daisy.

20. Best place in NYC for a cheap and cheerful, delicious meal?

Three Decker Diner in Williamsburg.
