Vote Music: The New Initiative Backing the Music You Love
If you're a lover of electronic music, you're probably aware of the importance of supporting the artists and labels that make it all happen. Now, a new initiative called "Vote Music" is aiming to help you do just that.
The initiative, launched by the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR), is designed to raise awareness around the value of the music industry and encourage fans to vote for political parties that support music and its creators.
In a statement, AIR's CEO Maria Amato explained that "Vote Music" was created to combat the challenges faced by the industry, including piracy, streaming royalties and a lack of government support.
"Music is a key part of our culture and our economy, and it's important that we protect and nurture it," said Amato. "By encouraging fans to vote for parties that back the music they love, we can help ensure a sustainable future for our industry."
So far, the initiative has been endorsed by a number of prominent musicians, businesses, industry leaders and labels including Sweat It Out, UNDR Ctrl, FBI Radio and The Record Store owner Stephan Gyory. They join a growing list of people are pushing for greater support for music in Australia and around the world.
If you're interested in getting involved, head over to the "Vote Music" website to learn more about the initiative and find out how you can show your support. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that the music we love continues to thrive.
