Eris Drew & Octo Octa join the incredible Transenergy lineup at Club 77 this Sunday December 17th
Eris Drew & Octo Octa join the incredible Transenergy lineup at Club 77 this Sunday, December 17th. We’re honoured to be hosting the latest instalment of the Naarm-born Hard Techno and Electro party series. The event has been meticulously curated and produced by the amazing Sophie Forrest, a passionate champion of trans representation in the dance world and DJ royalty in her own right!
Eris Drew, originally from Chicago, is a trailblazer in the music scene and a proud advocate for the trans community. Her journey in music began early, mixing records since she was 18 and becoming a respected figure at Chicago's Smart Bar. With her label, Interdimensional Transmissions, and her work with Naive Records, Eris continues to push boundaries in the electronic music world.
Octo Octa, matching Eris in talent and vision, has made waves with her album "Resonant Body" on their co-run label T4T LUV NRG. A powerful voice in the scene, she weaves her personal journey into her music, championing trans visibility and the transformative power of dance.
Together, Eris and Octo Octa create more than just music – they create experiences. Their sets are a testament to their belief in the healing and unifying power of dance, with Eris's concept of "Motherbeat" at the core, symbolizing the primal, healing force of music. This duo is not only a symbol of artistic brilliance but also a beacon of hope and inclusivity in the electronic music community.
Eris Drew & Octo Octa are supported by a lineup of leading queer and GNC artists including Crescendoll, DJ Luv U, Jo Christy, and LGBTCEO, as well as a special b2b from Club 77 resident Barney Kato and Sophie Forrest.
