Club 77 x CaptureCharles Exhibition

CaptureCharles exhibiting rave photography from his recent adventures in Europe, an intimate showcase of the underground music scene.

In collaboration with CaptureCharles, Club 77 is pleased to announce a showcase of the CaptureCharles Project, exploring his most recent travels to Europe where he captured some of the continent’s most famed clubs, venues and festivals including: Printworks in London, DC-10 in Ibiza, AVA Festival in Belfast, and London’s infamous rave scene.

A young gun on the scene, CaptureCharles has been capturing the hearts of many with his intimate take on rave photography across the globe. CaptureCharles has an uncanny knack for being exactly where he needs to be at the perfect time, immortalising in film those special, indescribable moments on the dance floor. When you look at his images you can feel the authentic vibe of the party, he does this through close up portraits, looking deep into the shaded eyes of a raver, honing in on the little details, chrome tipped nails, bedazzled teeth and sweaty kisses.

Quickly making a name for himself on the Eora party circuit as someone known for making cameos across multiple parties in one night, always fully immersing himself in the party scene. Enamoured with vintage mediums, CaptureCharles furthers his exploration of the party scene through a series of printed publications. Momentum Mag is a homage to independant rave magazines of the 90s, a collection of photographs and interviews with people in Eora’s underground. Through this enthusiasm and hard work, he’s followed his excellent nose for a good party and ended up at some of the best, all around the world. This exhibition will be a look back at some of these moments.

“This Exhibition Is A Culmination Of My Most Recent Work Where I Spent 2 Months In Europe Shooting Every Nightclub, Festival & Rave That I Could Get Myself Into, Shooting Artists Such As Skepta, Peggy Gou, Skrillex, Mall Grab, Calvin Harris & KETTAMA - Just To Name A Few. With All The New Content I Have Accumulated Since Coming Back From Europe, It Only Feels Right To Put Together A Showcase Evening To Look Back On What Those Two Months & Beyond Looked Like. Highlights Of The Most Special Moments From Past Work Of The Australian Nightlife Scene From 2019 Onwards Will Also Be Showcased.

For the first time ever, a highly limited amount of prints from the CaptureCharles project will be for sale, all the prints displayed on the evening of this exhibition will be on sale & the limited collection of prints will go live on capturecharles.com following the exhibition. Accompanying the night will be legendary Eora DJ Ben Fester alongside underground electronic master Mimi J.
