Under Club in Buenos Aires is back after a police raid shut it down in July. Owner Joel Silva announced the reopening, expressing gratitude to supporters: "After 70 days of closed doors, it's with immense joy that we announce Under Club has managed to lift the judicial closure." The club kicks off with an event at Amerika on October 10th featuring Ahmet Sisman, MARRØN, Setaoc Mass, and Mariano DC. The official relaunch follows in November with Ellen Allien, DVS1, and Jeff Mills.
The raid involved over 40 officers entering the venue early on July 5th. Four arrests were made for drug-related charges after authorities allegedly found pills backstage during a time when security cameras were reportedly turned off by police. Claims of a $20,000 bribe demand further complicate the situation.
To help cover nearly $60,000 in legal fees incurred during this ordeal, Under Club is releasing a VA compilation titled "Under Club Records 01." Details are still under wraps but promise to showcase their enduring spirit. As Silva says: "Time will put everything in its place."
