Tempo Comodo #51 Black Bear Lodge Takeover w/ Squidgenini, Aidan Beiers & Phil Smart

6:00pm - 4:00am | Free Entry all Night

Tempo Comodo #51 is a takeover by the Black Bear Lodge crew from Brisbane, with Squidgenini (Beats of No Nation) and Aidan Beiers (head honcho and vibe controller at The Lodge) flying in to join Phil Smart for a night of slomo goodness, representing the club where Tempo Comodo began as the Slow Dance Experiment all those years ago.

Squidgenini:

Squidgenini (pron. squid-jeh-nee-nee) is a versatile vocalist, producer, and DJ from Brisbane/Meanjin whose evolving sound spans across genres from soul/rnb to techno, broken beat and house. Her self-produced EP on Beats of No Nation generated worldwide buzz and millions of Spotify streams. Squid's focus now includes exploring subtle energy dynamics through DJing, and she has opened for international acts such as Jamie Tiller, Dr. Banana, and DJ T.

Aidan Beiers:

Aidan Beiers, the owner and curator of Brisbane's Fortitude Valley live music venue and nightclub, Black Bear Lodge, has been running the establishment for the past eight years. With Vietnamese heritage and a Meanjin/Brisbane upbringing, Aidan's Balearic DJ sets are a treat for the senses, like a vermicelli salad, best served in a hot climate among lovely people, some of whom may be on drugs.

Phil Smart:

Club 77 Resident and Australian fixture and scene icon, Phil Smart has been spinning forward thinking electronic music in clubs, bars, warehouses, fields, deserts and carparks since the rave era.
