Sydney / Eora based producer, DJ Plead, is taking over Club 77 every Saturday night throughout the month of May, personally hand-picking a diverse line-up of the best underground talent Australia has to offer.
DJ Plead:
Hailing from Melbourne/Naarm and now based in Sydney/Eora, DJ Plead crafts distinctive club anthems infused with his rich Lebanese heritage. Seamlessly merging contemporary RnB, club, and dance styles with the rhythms, scales, and timbres of Lebanese pop and traditional wedding music, his innovative approach yields percussive, hard-hitting tracks. With a debut EP 'Get in Circle' on air max 97's DECISIONS label, DJ Plead has toured Europe and China, and is also half of the drum-driven duo Poison, a member of the electrifying trio BV, and the founder of the SUMAC label.
Merph:
Eora-based DJ, producer, and scientist Merph blends her passion for experimental bass and percussion with her expertise in social robotics, resulting in a captivating range of genre-spanning soundscapes. Adept at reading the room, she has supported numerous heavyweight artists and frequents the local circuit while also gracing festivals and interstate shows. With her radio shows Apparent Motion and The Bridge, Merph champions high-intensity motion and local music. As a producer, she released "Whip" on Lobster Theremin's PLUR Volume 1 compilation, benefiting UK charities and independent artists. Beyond music, she actively works on AI-related projects in healthcare, accessibility, and inclusion.
Ciara:
Carving a name for herself in the local grassroots nu-rave scene, Ciara has become a regular in Sydney’s dance circuit. Sourcing inspiration from years of parties past, Ciara floats playfully between breakbeat, house, techno and UKG.
